NorthCoast Silver Sovereign has been our best grey alpaca produced to date. He is the whole package of gorgeous head, long/tall/elegant body; uniform silver grey coloration; fleece with long staple and high frequency, uniform crimp; excellent fineness (19.8 micron at 2.25 years of age), and a very engaging personality to boot.

Genoa is a dark brown, possibly rose grey, daughter of our champion silver grey stud, NorthCoast Silver Sovereign and Guinevere, a light fawn daughter of NorthCoast Michelangelo's Merlin (champion white male) and Maple Brook Gia, a NWA Ltd. Sandy daughter.
Many of our Silver Sovereign daughters have "greyed" as they mature so we will need to see how her color develops but, regardless of color, this is a very nice young female. She has correct conformation and a pleasing look. She has had her cria tips shorn so we will need to wait and see on her fleece but we tend to see very fine and uniform fleeces on Silver Sovereign cria and would expect that same here especially when you look at the pedigree and see El Nino's Accoyo Michelangelo (one of the densest males ever tested), NWA Sandy who was marketed as the "finest alpaca in the world" at the time.
