NorthCoast Silver Sovereign Shandor

Shandor had "the look" from when he was a young cria. Incredible head and leg coverage and the conformation and gait that seperates him from others. This is not a surprise as his dam is light fawn full Accoyo female named Rose Gold and Sire is our own NorthCoast Silver Sovereign.

Rose Gold has a stacked pedigree including on the paternal side: Felix, Grand Triumph, Celeste and Craftsman and on the maternal side: Titan, Don Juan and Esbelta. This blend of Accoyo genetics made Rose Gold a superior producer of long staple, soft, bright fleece on a larger frame. We have her first daughter on our farm out of Crescent Moon's Accoyo Nobility and she is outstanding.

NorthCoast Silver Sovereign has been our #1 stud for breeding silver grey and true black offspring and has produced several color champions. His features include his tall, regal build with very correct conformation and wooley head. His fleece is very fine and uniform especially for a siver grey. Based on his histogram, Lynn Edens' Back Forty, which was generally accepting only light fleeces at the time, purchase Silver's yearling fleece for their highly selective fleece processing program. Silver has and throws excellent coverage and very good density in his crias.

Shandor, at his first show at Buckeye Fall Fest 2019 with Jude Anderson as judge, won black male color champion. In winning his class Jude commented that he was "the easy winner". In awarding the color championship Jude commented on his uniformity and fineness of his blanket and its extension well into the extremities and down the legs.

We are excited to for Shandor to begin his breeding services in the fall of 2020 and welcome those who would like to book breedings in advance.
