Madiera is the daughter of 10 time color champion and 2015 black Futurity Color Champion FTAF's Blackbeard and Compadre's Silvia. Both parents are true black and Madiera color checked true black at her first show. At the 2017 Buckeye Alpaca Show Madiera placed 3rd in a class of 8 and then had the 3rd highest scoring fleece of all the blacks in walking fleece missing reserve champion by one point.
As you can see from the profile photos, Blackbeard literally stamped the head of this young female. This female is large, thick boned, very correct with excellent coverage. She has a lower frequency crimp style with good brightness and her blanket fleece quality extends well into the upper leg and belly (per the walking fleece judge).
We are thrilled that she has produced three crias to date, all black females out of Cataldo Steel!
Madiera is also very friendly and fully halter trained. We are including a breeding to any of our herdsires.
